Welcome to the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Cape Verde

From January 1st 2019 the Government of the Republic of Cape Verde exempts citizens of the following countries from visa requirement for tourist visits up to 30 days: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
This applies to citizens of visa-free countries who identify themselves at the border crossing points of the Republic of Cape Verde with their passport and a travel document.
Entry to the Republic of Cape Verde with identity card or temporary identity card is not possible.
Travellers without a visa requirement are obliged to register on the Internet platform www.ease.gov.cv up to 5 (five) days before commencement of their journey, providing passport data, travel period (date of entry and exit), flight number and place of accommodation.
When registering on www.ease.gov.cv, the airport security fee must be paid.
Children up to 2 years of age are exempt:
- Fee for domestic flights is 150 Escudos (approx. € 1.36) per passenger
- Fee for international flights is 3,400 Escudos (approx. € 30.71) per passenger
Travellers who already have a valid entry visa do not need a pre-registration at the platform.
At the honorary consulate you can apply for visa for more than 30 and a maximum of 90 days stay and/or have documents and deeds certified. The visa application form and further information can be found here.
